Unlike many Chambers that receive government funding, the Fort Worth Chamber relies on the support of the local business community to fund its economic development efforts. And, despite the current economic conditions, the business community has responded with a continued high level of investment in this important campaign.
Thanks to our many partners in our previous Controlling Our Destiny campaign - which will now be called Forward Fort Worth - the Chamber’s economic development programs have resulted in 1,100 significant business locations or expansions, 250,000 jobs and billions of dollars in capital investment. Today, Fort Worth is seen as one of the strongest business communities in Texas and the United States, stemming from its central location in the United States, significant transportation infrastructure, ready access to a highly educated workforce, low cost of doing business and overall quality of life.
With the community’s support, the Chamber continues to attract new businesses and jobs to Fort Worth. The Chamber also assists with existing business expansion needs and secures additional capital investment that adds strength to the local economy. This work would not be possible without the many alliances we have forged with other groups – public and private – with whom we share common interests and ambitions.
