Next Trip This Fall

The Fort Worth Chamber will be partnering with the DFW Airport and the Dallas Regional Chamber on an International Business Development Mission trip to Shanghai and Seoul, S. Korea. The travel dates are October 14-21.

More about the DFW International Airport Partnership

The Chamber joined DFW Airport officials and public and private sector leaders on trade missions last year to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Mexico City.

A June 2016 trip to Mexico City sought more trade with Mexico that exceeded $1.3 billion in 2015. The delegation included Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, TCU and Tarrant County College officials and private sector representatives from companies such as Renfro Foods and Sid Richardson Carbon and Energy.

In a November 2016 trip to Tokyo, representatives explored Central Japan Railway’s bullet train operations. CJR has opened offices in Dallas to help privately backed Texas Central Partners with development plans for bullet train service between Dallas and Houston.

The trade mission to Japan also promoted North Texas’ strengths that have led Japanese giants Toyota, Kubota, and OKI Data Americas to locate here. In a series of meetings in Hong Kong, the delegation focused on introducing North Texas to key business and government officials.
